With over 20 years of professional experience spanning multiple sectors, I have cultivated a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of various industry dynamics. Initially, I dedicated 5 years to the events, outside broadcasting (OB), and theatre sectors. During this period, I gained invaluable experience in live event production and the unique technical demands of theatre productions.

Subsequently, I transitioned into the film and television industry, where I have spent the last 15 years refining my expertise. This transition allowed me to leverage my previous experience while adapting to the distinct requirements of film and TV production. My comprehensive background enables me to contribute effectively to a wide array of projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes regardless of the medium.

Gaffering Experience:

I have accumulated 12 years of specialized experience as a gaffer, working across various areas and projects. My gaffering expertise spans numerous genres and production environments, from small independent films to large-scale television series. I have honed my skills in lighting design, equipment management, and team coordination, ensuring that each production benefits from precise and creative lighting solutions.

My commercial work includes campaigns for brands like Apple, National Lottery, Honda, Burberry, Tesco, Bosch, Sotheby’s, eBay, L’Oreal, Virgin Atlantic, Guinness, Vogue, O2, National Geographic, Amazon, and Nike. Recently, I have also been involved in narrative productions such as Netflix’s “Man Vs Bee,” “Feel Good,” “Bridgerton,” and BBC’s “Ludwig” and “This Country.”

Favourite Aspect of the Job:

What I enjoy most about my job is the collaboration and inspiration that come with realising a lighting vision. Whether it’s the creative or technical aspects, building and working within a team is where I thrive.

Future Aspirations:

Looking ahead, I aim to continue building strong working relationships in both narrative and commercial projects. Additionally, I am passionate about training the next generation of lighting technicians through workshops, qualifications, and on-set experience.
