Industry Experience:
With 11 years of full-time experience as a Lighting Gaffer and Lighting Technician, I have developed a strong technical foundation and creative adaptability across a wide range of productions. From feature films and TV dramas to commercials, music videos, and branded content, I bring a wealth of knowledge to every set, ensuring efficiency, problem-solving, and artistic precision in my lighting setups.
Gaffering Experience:
I began working in the lighting department and film industry in 2005, gaining hands-on experience by gaffering music videos and small productions on very low budgets while supporting myself with other jobs.
As I connected with professional Gaffers and Lighting Technicians, I steadily built my expertise, starting as a Trainee Spark and learning from seasoned professionals on set.
By 2013, I transitioned into full-time work as a Lighting Gaffer and Lighting Technician. During this period, I focused on independent, low-budget short films and narrative pieces while also working as a Spark on commercials, TV dramas, and feature films.
In 2017, I was employed as the in-house Gaffer at Kennington Studios, where I spent six years as the Technical Head of the Lighting Department, overseeing three busy studio stages in London. This role allowed me to gaffer a vast number of shoots and gain extensive lighting knowledge from working alongside many exceptional DOPs and Gaffers.
In 2023, I left Kennington Studios to pursue a full-time freelance career as a Lighting Gaffer. Since then, I have worked on a wide variety of productions, including TV programs, commercials, short films, branded content, live broadcasts, and hybrid events.
